I have been practicing psychotherapy for about 20 years. My interests were sparked by my study of the psychology of C.G. Jung and my career has reflected that. While I was pursuing my professional training I concurrently studied Jung, psychoanalysis, and the arts and humanities that bring the dept approach to life.
I started my career in University counseling offices and public mental health clinics but always had the notion that I was heading for private practice with an emphasis on the analytical approach. I have now been in private practice for 13 years. Seven years ago I entered the analytic training program at the Jung Institute of San Francisco with the goal of becoming an analyst.
Currently about two-thirds of my patients are analytically oriented and about one-third are general practice concerns. In all cases my approach is mainly to be as helpful as I possibly can with my patient's psychological concerns and needs.
